South West France is Dotted with Fabulous Chateaux

South West France is dotted with fabulous chateaux and weddings are hugely popular but not everyone wants to get married on a Saturday.  Today’s wedding party travelled from Holland and, as many of their guests were travelling from Holland over the weekend they chose to get married on a Sunday.

Saturdays book quickly.  Couples travel to France from around the globe to marry here.  And summer weddings are also very popular with the French!  So it’s a good idea to consider another day of the week for your celebrations… you’ll probably have lots more choice of suppliers!

This was our third wedding of this weekend so we arrived early and installed our equipment.  The wedding was held at 13:00 and the evening party wasn’t scheduled to start until 21:00.  Arriving early meant we could disappear for a few hours and return to our hotel (where this Candy had an afternoon nap!)

We returned at the appointed time, and we had a brilliant time at Chateau Camp del Saltre!  The newly weds and their guests could not have made us more welcome!  They danced and danced the night away… and we’ll be honest… we didn’t want the night to end!
