Today’s wedding had a musical theme running throughout the day.  Catherine and Paul are both musicians and they wanted their wedding to be informal and joyous with a festival feel to the day.

They booked both REPLAY and The Candies and rather than have a Champagne Set and a Party Set there was simply music throughout the day.  And when we weren’t playing other talented folks were!

Today is known as Black Saturday in France… for no other reason than it seems like the whole country takes a holiday and the roads can be very very busy.  So, with that in mind we all made sure we left in plenty of time to make the journey across the Charente, to a pretty village just the other side of Mirambeau.

The venue was the family home and it had been decorated and pampered and looked fabulous… and as it got darker 1000’s of twinkling lights came on so that the garden became a little fairy grotto!

This really was a beautiful day.  The ceremony, the catering, the guests and the music were all about joy and love… and we drove home happy to have been included in this very wonderful day.

p.s. we can’t finish without saying Freya, you may only be 16 but you are a powerhouse of talent… Amazing singer/song writer and we wish you a long and fabulous career in music… and maybe one day we’ll be able to say… we shared a stage with you!
